Pathology labs need to order certain stains so as to color the tissue samples they receive from potential cancer patients to identify tumours and metastases. The more difficult the case, the more stains need to be order and hence the higher the costs. Digital Pathology helps lower those costs by providing high quality scans of tissue whole image slides and thus reducing the necessity for additional stains.
In this visualisation, we are rendering the interrelations between tissue types and stains order for a certain lab, thus providing insights in cost expenditures for lab managers. The data is mocked up.
